The Heart Behind InkNStitch

In 1987, Shahe Assilian's father purchased Adin of California, a respected apparel manufacturing company in Los Angeles. He nurtured it with dedication and hard work, building a solid foundation that lasted for decades.

The new owners renamed it Fashion Hub and relocated to a larger facility with significantly higher rent—just three months before the COVID-19 pandemic struck. The challenges became overwhelming, and after 12 months, they decided to walk away.

After serving in US Army, in 2006, while assisting with the family business, Shahe incorporated Aztlan Trading Inc., a commission-based sales company representing multiple brands. Together, they kept the operation thriving until 2019, when Shahe's father sold Adin of California to a young couple from India through a visa investment program.

To protect his father from financial strain, Shahe stepped in, skillfully selling off the machinery and inventory to clear the obligations cleanly.

That turning point sparked Shahe's own rebirth. Starting humbly in the fish district bordering Skid Row with one manual press and an old automatic, he laid the foundation for  InkNStitch.
